Friend, no need to cry - I don’t remember any bad behavior from Homestuck cosplayers at last year’s DAiCon. When a group started to get perhaps too large to work indoors, they took it outside, to the quad.

Plus, considering this con is in what is very much so a college town on a college campus, it seems to cater to a more mature crowd. As much as we may have issues with substance abuse and rowdiness in general, I don’t expect a strictly daytime convention to be full of much debauchery.

So save those tears for another day, because I bet DAiCon is going to be, if anything, lifeless rather than full of poorly-behaved Homestucks.

That being said: DAiCon is coming up! May 4th in Freeborn Hall at UC Davis. Quite a young con, it hasn’t got enough history to present an accurate image of what to expect, but it should be an enjoyable time nonetheless. It’s run by the Davis Anime Club and there’s virtually no reason not to drop by if you’re in the area.

Where: Sunrise Rollerland, Citrus Heights, CA

When: Saturday, January 12th, 7pm-10pm.

Who: Anyone. Invite all your friends. It’s a rollerink, it’s not like there won’t be plenty of non-homestucks there too.

What: This event is during their “family night,” which means that there is all-you-can-eat/drink pizza and soda included in the price of admission. Now, I know it’s kind of far off, but I strongly advise people to consider prepaying here, as it’s half price if you get and print out this groupon. If you do not get the groupon, it is $15 for admission.

SCREECHES 

okay so i left the apartment finally for the first time in like a week 

and i went across the street to my truck to get my camera because of reasons 

and as i shut and locked the vehicle and was already across the street 

i heard this laughter this really loud laughter 

and then i heard “Hey, let’s talk about Homestuck!” or something of that nature so i turned around and across the street were too people who said they saw my horns on my rearview mirror and that i was cool and gave me thumbs up! 

i gave them one back and then being the shy person that i am went back into the apartment complex, looked back and saw that they saw where i went into

and then hurried back into the apartment 

yes good homestucks first homestucks i meet that i didnt already know in davis
